Cultural Heritage
In 2007, HOCHTIEF continued its Bauhaus commitment by sponsoring another exhibition in the Kandinsky-Klee Master House in Dessau (see page 56). Many HOCHTIEF employees also took advantage of this opportunity to gain an insight into the works of these artists.

Wide-ranging commitment

HOCHTIEF recognizes that being a corporate citizen means accepting its responsibilities towards society. We consider ecological and social commitment highly important.

Sustainable work practices are a significant part of our long-term corporate strategy and are becoming more important for HOCHTIEF.

Since we create living spaces, we are in constant contact with people of many different kinds—in urban and rural areas across the world. They range from the original inhabitants of still largely undeveloped regions to the residents of great metropolises.
Our commitment to society extends from sponsoring for the Bauhaus and modern architecture through to initiatives in training young people and adults in their local environment. The company and its employees help when disasters cause emergencies. But our commitment goes beyond the world of today: We also seek to develop and implement solutions oriented to the future.

Many HOCHTIEF employees are privately involved in social and charitable interests. In this way they also indirectly support our company’s commitment. We are proud of the great work that they do alongside their jobs.
